Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Sixto Tristan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to UFC STEAUA getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alexandru Caloian hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, Nelson Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iosif Călin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Tristan in the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Tiburones Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Argi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Sixto Tristan in the 8thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Iosif Călin had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Fabio Estebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Mendoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Marcos Ponc got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Demetrio Di Franco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio Estebe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ruben Lorien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Călin having to interfere. After 20 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Caloian. 21 minutes into the match, Sixto Tristan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iosif Călin. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixto Tristan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Rosendo Argi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Iosif Călin to make any attempt to save it. Iosif Călin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Tristan in the 27th minute of the match. UFC STEAUA's Iosif Călin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save UFC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. Tiburones Rojos's Lisandro Silvanito got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Estebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Jobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Hermengildo Jobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Hermengildo Jobo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC STEAUA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Jobo to strike the kick off in the second half. Iosif Călin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Tiburones Rojos's Sixto Tristan in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. Sixto Tristan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Iosif Călin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermengildo Jobo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Fabio Estebe 69 minutes into the match. Hermengildo Jobos short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Fabio Estebe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hermengildo Jobo had several of the Tiburones Rojos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Fabio Estebe as he didn't even see the shot coming. Rosendo Argi's late challenge caught a UFC STEAUA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosendo Argi helped the player get up and apologised. Rosendo Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Ruben Lorien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iosif Călin. UFC STEAUA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Lorien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. After 89 played minutes Tiburones Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Tristan. If Sixto Tristan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florin Arsenescu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Lisandro Silvanito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in UFC STEAUA's zone, Sixto Tristan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iosif Călin came out of the goal and Sixto Tristan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Tiburones Rojos manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing UFC STEAUA to win.
