In the 6th minute, Reynaldo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Cayetano Herauso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbson Netto. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbson Netto should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Valério Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Mineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black StarZ the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Cayetano Herauso in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Róbson Netto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 27 minutes in the game, Isaias Tuste fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Róbson Netto having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Róbson Netto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Róbson Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Tuste in the 32nd minute of the match. Black StarZ's Celestino Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Andrade in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Black StarZ got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Montae. Celestino Umea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Manfredo Favoretto made a great header on Atlético Mineiro's corner, it was just that Black StarZ's Celestino Umea managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's André Luís Koehler got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Andrade in the 46th minute of play forced Black StarZ's goalkeeper Celestino Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Paulista was the one to do the kick off. 63 minutes into the game, Cayetano Herauso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Róbson Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celestino Umea came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Mineiro's Valério Andrade. But to his dismay, Valério Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Tuste in the 88th minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Róbson Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Black StarZ's Casimiro Omero got a free kick in the 91st minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Black StarZ had played much better football throughout.
