A collision led to Imperio Académico getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Emilio Sugoi hit a great ball. Francisco Chabier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Arósio in the 8th minute of play. After 10 played minutes, Izaltina FAD's Túlio Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Chabier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Izaltina FAD reached it. After some careless play in the Izaltina FAD defense, Teodoro Orain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Messias. The Izaltina FAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Messias should have stopped the shot. José Vítor Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Chabier having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Marco Eleazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imperio Académico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 20 minutes into the game, Dorian Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imperio Académico the free kick. The supporters of Imperio Académico booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alonzo Fero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Durval Messias. Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Durval Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Orain, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Podador Jorquera got a free kick in the 27th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Dorian Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Túlio Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Túlio Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Francisco Chabier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Arósio in the 40th minute of play. Diguinho Mendonça hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Alves was the one to do the kick off. Durval Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Orain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute of the match Imperio Académico got a corner. Izaltina FAD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fidel Curcio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fidel Curcio made a great header on Imperio Académico's corner, it was just that Izaltina FAD's Durval Messias managed to reach the ball for a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
