Spectators: 7462 (Terracing: 5597, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gary Gamble kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Creekers booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Baez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andries Van Mechelen came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo Baez slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Paul-Louis Van Mechelen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Orville Perdue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orville Perdue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuur Candries, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Creekers's Orville Perdue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul-Louis Van Mechelen in the 22nd minute of play. Fred Renteria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andries Van Mechelen came out and tried to block the shot, but Fred Renteria slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Sidney Keene got a free kick in the 36th minute. Tuur Candries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orville Perdue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul-Louis Van Mechelen in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Tuur Candries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orville Perdue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuur Candries in the 53rd minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Orville Perdue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tuur Candries kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Fred Renteria got a free kick in the 65th minute. YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Gamble in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Tuur Candries left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The YR Mechelen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When Terry Van Houdtvinck fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Terry Van Houdtvinck a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Renteria in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andries Van Mechelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Renteria in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Alfredo Baez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andries Van Mechelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Gary Gamble came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Creekers had won after a very even match.
