The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Buenaventura FC's Walter Bock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Réda Ramel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Walter Bock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Réda Ramel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paris's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Américo Oberto was slow to take the kick. During this time Buenaventura FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Américo Oberto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Réda Ramel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 8 minutes, Orlando Ramírez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buenaventura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Ramírez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Orlando Ramírez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Réda Ramel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Bock in the 13th minute of play forced Paris's goalkeeper Réda Ramel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Buenaventura FC's Américo Oberto made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Réda Ramel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Paris's Honoré Hebert got a free kick in the 19th minute. Américo Oberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Réda Ramel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Paris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamine Beau didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mike Allègre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Oberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Allègre in the 26th minute of the match. Buenaventura FC's Julio De Diego got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Buenaventura FC's Jorge Oberto got control of the ball when Lamine Beau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Réda Ramel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Aizprua in the 32nd minute of the match. Réda Ramel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Ramírez in the 33rd minute of play. Paris's Réda Ramel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Ramírez in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Mike Allègre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paris's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Allègre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Oberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jérôme Rabu kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Réda Ramel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio De Diego in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lamine Beau came free, but Jorge Oberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Ramírez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Réda Ramel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Buenaventura FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Bock to make the kick off. Réda Ramel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Ramírez in the 53rd minute. Paris's Réda Ramel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Paris from getting a goal against them. Ronan Brouillet hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the game, Julio De Diego cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Réda Ramel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio De Diego scored 0-4 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Réda Ramel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio De Diego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes, Lamine Beau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paris and the Buenaventura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Paris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamine Beau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Jérôme Rabu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Walter Bock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Réda Ramel. That made the score 0-6 in the 69 minute of play. Réda Ramel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Urane, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Walter Bock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Réda Ramel made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Paris's goal looked a bit too open when Julio De Diego came free, but Réda Ramel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match, Américo Oberto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Réda Ramel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Réda Ramel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walter Bock in the 83rd minute. Orlando Ramírez scored 0-7 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Réda Ramel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
