Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Catugi FC's Agnaldo Brodel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dudu Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Borges in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Hortêncio Vander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nada Pontual F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Vander in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Vander in the 20th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Reko Nybacka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Dudu Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dudu Ferreira. Nada Pontual F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dudu Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Marcelo Vianna was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, Nada Pontual F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Catugi FC's Walmir Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dudu Borges sped through Nada Pontual F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dudu Ferreira. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauã Ramos to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Nada Pontual F.C getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Cauã Ramos hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Nada Pontual F.C's goalkeeper Dudu Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Borges. Dudu Ferreira came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Agnaldo Brodel. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Agnaldo Brodel struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Dudu Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. When Richard Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nada Pontual F.C's protests and gave Richard Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. Cauã Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dudu Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudu Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Nada Pontual F.C got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Leme. In the 75th minute of the match Aírton de Queiroz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dudu Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. After 77 minutes, Dudu Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catugi FC and the Nada Pontual F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Borges. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Ramos in the 79th minute of play. Dudu Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Agnaldo Brodel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.
