Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Liviu Hănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KINROAD's Danilo Goyo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florentino Rosario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Emilio Miconi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of KINROAD booed when BANAT VIOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Barbu didn't get a good kick on the ball. BANAT VIOLA's Liviu Hănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to KINROAD getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Leo Neto hit a great ball. Danilo Goyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Răduț, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florentino Rosario to strike the kick off in the second half.
