The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Gau should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Argyris Loukoumakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Dominic. Santiago Gau came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ampthill FC's Conal Knight-Percival. But to his dismay, Conal Knight-Percival quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 38thth minute of the game Conal Knight-Percival who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mainumby's Santiago Gau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Candido Suero got a free kick in the 44th minute. Jack Potts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gau having to interfere.

Mainumby's Honorato Omero was substituted for Gerardo Oinatz. Mainumby's Armando Beltza was substituted for Candido Suero. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zack Alderson made a kick off. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Ampthill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conal Knight-Percival didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zack Alderson scored 0-5 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santiago Gau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zack Alderson in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santiago Gau, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zack Alderson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Santiago Gau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 70 minutes, Zack Alderson made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Mainumby's Santiago Gau tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 73 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Zack Alderson. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Alderson in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gez Little's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gau was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 96th minute Zack Alderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ampthill FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mainumby.
