After a defensive mix-up in Saiko FC's zone, Saturnino Roldan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Sena came out of the goal and Saturnino Roldan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Saturnino Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Roldan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match Saiko FC got a corner. Piratas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waldir Mandrak ran over to the corner to take the kick.
