Martin Bolin struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Inocencio Rubio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sunkens Surtröjor. Anier Sarracino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. When Bengt Vennerkvist came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sunkens Surtröjor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Vennerkvist couldn't finish the play. After 27 played minutes Sunkens Surtröjor got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Holmberg. If Bengt Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Bengt Vennerkvist made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inocencio Rubio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sten Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anier Sarracino kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anier Sarracino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Bengt Vennerkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Club Atlético Talleres booed when Sunkens Surtröjor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Enström didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Club Atlético Talleres's Inocencio Rubio got control of the ball when Martin Bolin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Inocencio Rubio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börge Josefsson in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Talleres defense, Martin Bolin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Rubio. The Club Atlético Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Rubio should have stopped the shot. Inocencio Rubio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Bolin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 74 minute of play. Inocencio Rubio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Vennerkvist in the 79th minute. Inocencio Rubio was a little too slow when Bengt Vennerkvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-4. Inocencio Rubio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. Sunkens Surtröjor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
