The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Zeledon Araoz put in a rough tackle. 10 minutes into the game, one of Los Muñes de Don Cuco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 15 minutes into the game, Segundo Gervaso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAI NEUQUEN the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Alfredo Ihintza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafin Lalla. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Maximino Palben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Erauso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Tuste's late challenge caught a Los Muñes de Don Cuco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Tuste helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Aureliano Tuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to CAI NEUQUEN getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Damian Barea hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Gar came free, but Serafin Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Serafin Lalla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Ihintza. 30 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Chago notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Maximino Palben. Maximino Palben was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Gar in the 36th minute of play. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Gervaso in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Gar got free with Serafin Lalla in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Gervaso in the 45th minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Serafin Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Astor Sotero fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAI NEUQUEN's protests and gave Astor Sotero a yellow card for diving instead. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CAI NEUQUEN were winning 1-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Gervaso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Erasmo Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Palben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Los Muñes de Don Cuco got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Ihintza. The crowd rose to their feet as CAI NEUQUEN's Damian Barea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximino Palben. That made the score 2-3 after 68 minutes of play. In the 73rd minute Adolfo Gar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Palben made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Tuste in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, CAI NEUQUEN's Astor Sotero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Astor Sotero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CAI NEUQUEN protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Astor Sotero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Segundo Gervaso scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafin Lalla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
