The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Márcio Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Galeno Belarrinaga made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ernani Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Cavalcante got free with Galeno Belarrinaga in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Osmar Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Galeno Belarrinaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
