In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sprite Star Football's goalkeeper Betão Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Birger Hammarbäck kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Harald Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sprite Star Football booed when Vejbystrand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Matsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexi Lalas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Glad. Vejbystrand's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Vejbystrand made a substitution. Fredric Örtendahl replaced Torbjörn Engman. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harald Ennegren to strike the kick off in the second half. Kurt Westerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Oscar de Godoi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of John Glad. The goal made the score 3-1. Betinho Barreto made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vejbystrand's Timmy Asplund. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Montenegro got free with John Glad in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Timmy Asplund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
