Henrique Luz hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the game, Deportivo ScrugenFC's Chus Carreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Renato Dracena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Yan Mota could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Baiarte Cazares however easily saved by the left post. After 17 minutes, Kevin Valderrama mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo ScrugenFC and the Belo Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Belo Academy booed when Deportivo ScrugenFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Valderrama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Cristian Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baiarte Cazares. Deportivo ScrugenFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 28th minute Chus Carreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo ScrugenFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orland Villadiego in the 29th minute. The corner led Deportivo ScrugenFC's Orland Villadiego to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Renato Dracena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Mota in the 40th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Baiarte Cazares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Zambrano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Leão made a kick off. Constantino Hurtado hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes Deportivo ScrugenFC got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Hurtado. After having played for 54 minutes, Jeferson Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belo Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Leão in the 57th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Baiarte Cazares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Bernardinho Leão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belo Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Deportivo ScrugenFC made a substitution. Checa Peñas replaced Txindoki Ameda. Bernardinho Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baiarte Cazares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yan Mota went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, Belo Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zeng Jian Cheng came free, but Paulo Renato Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baiarte Cazares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Baiarte Cazares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Luz took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baiarte Cazares. Baiarte Cazares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. When Checa Peñas came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Deportivo ScrugenFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Checa Peñas couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the game, Fábio Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belo Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo ScrugenFC the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo ScrugenFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Belo Academy.
