In the 11th minute, Atlético da Colina's Orlando Vinhas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Orlando Vinhas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atlético da Colina protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Orlando Vinhas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Atlético da Colina's Orlando Vinhas got a free kick in the 12th minute. It was beautiful to see ATHLETICO PRaiano's Sílvio Pires in action when he in the 14th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Mateus Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Roque in the 16th minute of play. Mateus Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Paraná in the 21st minute of the match. Wiliam Tepedino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sílvio Luiz Rodrigues firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mateus Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Valente in the 25th minute of the match. Diguinho Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Miranda scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luiz Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Atlético da Colina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético da Colina's Mateus Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Paraná in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Diguinho Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético da Colina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diguinho Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diguinho Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luiz Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Atlético da Colina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. If Diguinho Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético da Colina's Mateus Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Paraná in the 71st minute of play. Diguinho Souza struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sílvio Luiz Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético da Colina. The supporters of Atlético da Colina booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luiz Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vítor Roque in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
