An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Caeiro in the 4th minute of play forced North Port UTD's goalkeeper Yağızalp Akhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Karadeniz Uygunel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Póvoas. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Póvoas should have stopped the shot. Luís Caeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yağızalp Akhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gervásio Severiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Yağızalp Akhan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yağızalp Akhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Caeiro in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 minutes North Port UTD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gervásio Severiano who took care of the corner kick. 23 minutes into the match, North Port UTD's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Yağızalp Akhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yağızalp Akhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Yağızalp Akhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to North Port UTD getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Karadeniz Uygunel hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Karadeniz Uygunel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Port UTD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karadeniz Uygunel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. VB-Team's Durval Póvoas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. North Port UTD's Yağızalp Akhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 45th minute of play. Yağızalp Akhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Caeiro in the 47th minute of the match. The North Port UTD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VB-Team were winning 1-2.

When Karadeniz Uygunel came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the North Port UTD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karadeniz Uygunel couldn't finish the play. Yağızalp Akhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Saraiva in the 54th minute of play. After 58 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Saraiva. Durval Póvoas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercan Şerif in the 60th minute of play. 2-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Deniz Hasanbeyli elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. North Port UTD's Vatan Akil was substituted for Deniz Hasanbeyli. In the 67th minute Vatan Akil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Póvoas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervásio Severiano got free with Yağızalp Akhan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, VB-Team failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
