With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Goito in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luigi Gatti saved Los Hijos de Doña Beija from getting behind. Ariel Cugat kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luigi Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Nestor Bernat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Pi's Maximo Godoy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximo Godoy made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Carmelo Claus sent off a good shot on target. New Pi's Maximo Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save New Pi from getting a goal against them. 48 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Goito came free, but Luigi Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Claus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Goito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Luigi Gatti skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Marcelo Goito scored to the left of an out of position Luigi Gatti, making the score, 1-2. The New Pi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing New Pi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
