André Sander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Poulin in the 5th minute of the match. Dennis Rhoades showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txurio Cardigondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Amireau in the 12th minute of play forced Fire Breathers FC's goalkeeper André Sander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Arden Poulin made a precise shot to the right of André Sander. Fire Breathers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Txurio Cardigondi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Dennis Rhoades made a huge save. Fire Breathers FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Persepolis F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pello Pariente took the corner. Fire Breathers FC's Caetano Reyo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dennis Rhoades in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Osmundo Careaga took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Rhoades. Dennis Rhoades dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txurio Cardigondi in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Persepolis F.C.'s zone, Osmundo Careaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Rhoades came out of the goal and Osmundo Careaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Txurio Cardigondi came free, but Dennis Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Rhoades didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Txurio Cardigondi went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Fire Breathers FC booed when Persepolis F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arden Poulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osmundo Careaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Dennis Rhoades made a huge save. Dennis Rhoades took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goizeder Parserises, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Txurio Cardigondi came free, but Dennis Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Txurio Cardigondi to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goizeder Parserises in the 55th minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Dennis Rhoades to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Fire Breathers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arden Poulin came free, but André Sander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Persepolis F.C. defense, Goizeder Parserises kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dennis Rhoades. The Persepolis F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dennis Rhoades should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 67th minute of play forced Fire Breathers FC's goalkeeper André Sander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goizeder Parserises sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Rhoades came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Fire Breathers FC's Txurio Cardigondi. But to his dismay, Txurio Cardigondi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Dennis Rhoades took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goizeder Parserises, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merlin Amireau during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Persepolis F.C.'s Merlin Amireau got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txurio Cardigondi in the 84th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Fire Breathers FC's Txurio Cardigondi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Rhoades made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Fire Breathers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pello Pariente in the 94th minute. A nice corner shot did that Pello Pariente got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dennis Rhoades quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 96th minute, Txurio Cardigondi made a precise shot to the right of Dennis Rhoades. Persepolis F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Fire Breathers FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
