Marcel Mallinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelillo Di Maria in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by FV Wienerwald's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelillo Di Maria was slow to take the kick. During this time FC NORDLAND's players had a chance to rest. Angelillo Di Maria took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Mallinger. Marcel Mallinger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Tim Beck fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FV Wienerwald's protests and gave Tim Beck a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC NORDLAND booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goal looked a bit too open when Angelillo Di Maria came free, but Marcel Mallinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelillo Di Maria in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Rico Schicklgruber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bandit Banks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uli Türk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bandit Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uli Türk, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 46th minute of the match Ervin Frk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Mallinger skillfully saved the ball. After the first half FC NORDLAND were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörg Moratschke to make the kick off. Bandit Banks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörg Moratschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Jörg Moratschke put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bandit Banks. In the 66th minute Angelillo Di Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mallinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandit Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Praßke in the 86th minute of play. After 88 played minutes FV Wienerwald got a freekick which was hit by Lars Praßke. In the 91st minute Jörg Moratschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bandit Banks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandit Banks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörg Moratschke's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. FC NORDLAND's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
