Michael Bremicker came out of the goal and Eurelijus Sutkus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney FC's Michael Bremicker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute of the match, Eurelijus Sutkus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Michael Bremicker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kuno Heiberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakov Stähr, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's August Gieß got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Dennis Rzepka charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Rzepka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Rzepka. When Eurelijus Sutkus came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Karamba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurelijus Sutkus couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Audrius Butkevičius was the one to do the kick off. In the 87th match minute, FC Karamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gvidonas Sauliūnas to maneuver through the defense.
