The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Isaac Landeribar fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vanadio F.C.'s protests and gave Isaac Landeribar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Líbano booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Landeribar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etxeberri Benavides came out of the goal and Wajdi Abou Hafez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Líbano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Andres Marines scored to the left of an out of position Hafiz Romad, making the score, 1-0. When Ali Miyaz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Líbano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Miyaz couldn't finish the play. When Ali Miyaz fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Líbano's protests and gave Ali Miyaz a yellow card for diving instead. Ali Miyaz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Líbano got a freekick which was hit by Yamen Husam. Etxeberri Benavides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohammad Fareed, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Yamen Husam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etxeberri Benavides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eladio Sotorrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hafiz Romad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Mohammad Fareed scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Etxeberri Benavides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Líbano's Rafiq Bahir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Etxeberri Benavides narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Antecha in the 35th minute of play forced Líbano's goalkeeper Hafiz Romad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Wajdi Abou Hafez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Etxeberri Benavides showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Líbano booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Sarri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yamen Husam made a kick off. If Mohammad Fareed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Fareed in the 72nd minute of play forced Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Etxeberri Benavides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Etxeberri Benavides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohammad Fareed's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Hafiz Romad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Marines, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 84 played minutes Yamen Husam could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-4 into the left cross. In the 88th minute, Mohammad Fareed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Etxeberri Benavides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Miyaz in the 90th minute of play. Etxeberri Benavides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yamen Husam in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Ashraf Kareef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
