Willem-Jan Steuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Estavan in the 13th minute of the match. If Charl Delcroix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Xacintu's late challenge caught a KFC Paal-Tervant's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Xacintu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Freddy Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Ciriaco Maule shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willem-Jan Steuckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robbin Van den Enden's late challenge caught a Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbin Van den Enden helped the player get up and apologised. Robbin Van den Enden hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Estavan in the 42nd minute of play. Willem-Jan Steuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Estavan in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Estavan in the 47th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Steuckens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jacinto Estavan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Willem-Jan Steuckens made a huge save. Lisandro Lobo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Willem-Jan Steuckens when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 56 minutes into the game, Lisandro Lobo lined in a short shot 0-2 behind a frustrated Willem-Jan Steuckens. After 59 minutes of play Independiente's Freddy Xacintu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Freddy Xacintu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Jason Nys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Muc having to interfere. KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Paal-Tervant from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Jason Nys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Muc was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When KFC Paal-Tervant's Mathis Limpens in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Maule in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Maule's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willem-Jan Steuckens was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Iruinea. Charl Delcroix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Christian Muc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes of play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Mathis Limpens made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Muc was left in no man's land by his defense there!
