Mountainhammer United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoffer Häll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarne Uytdebroeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Häll in the 8th minute of the match. When Gustav Hellström fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mountainhammer United's protests and gave Gustav Hellström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, one of Mountainhammer United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mountainhammer United. Mountainhammer United:s Oliver Mårtensson showed great skill when he stopped Robbin Gijselinckx:s penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pär Blom in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarne Uytdebroeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jarne Uytdebroeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Rang, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, All Stars Gent's goal looked a bit too open when Pär Blom came free, but Jarne Uytdebroeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pär Blom in the 23rd minute of play forced All Stars Gent's goalkeeper Jarne Uytdebroeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mountainhammer United's Oliver Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Mountainhammer United from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Pär Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarne Uytdebroeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarne Uytdebroeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pär Blom in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theo Vandendriessche during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, All Stars Gent's Theo Vandendriessche got a free kick in the 33rd minute. During the 35th minute of the match Gustav Hellström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gustav Hellström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a defensive mix-up in Mountainhammer United's zone, Nel Nelleboedske stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Mårtensson came out of the goal and Nel Nelleboedske tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pär Blom scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarne Uytdebroeck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pär Blom to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Rang in the 52nd minute of play forced All Stars Gent's goalkeeper Jarne Uytdebroeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarne Uytdebroeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pär Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute Michael Cuelens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All Stars Gent's Jarne Uytdebroeck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save All Stars Gent from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Pär Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarne Uytdebroeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nel Nelleboedske in the 62nd minute of play. After 66 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Robbin Gijselinckx. All Stars Gent's Jarne Uytdebroeck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save All Stars Gent from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mountainhammer United booed when All Stars Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenz Hoolemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sven-Oskar Forsberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mountainhammer United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Oskar Forsberg couldn't finish the play. All Stars Gent's Michael Cuelens got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarne Uytdebroeck made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Kent Rang sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute, Michael Cuelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nel Nelleboedske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, All Stars Gent's Nel Nelleboedske nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliver Mårtensson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Dirk-Jan Van Meenen managed to get in a good position for a shot. All Stars Gent's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk-Jan Van Meenen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Michael Cuelens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Mårtensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Nel Nelleboedske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbin Gijselinckx kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Many of Mountainhammer United's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mountainhammer United may have spent more time on the ball, but All Stars Gent were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
