Spectators: 7756 (Terracing: 5819, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roque Henrico started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Desiderio Mero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Acosta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Nuñez during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Estudiantes de América's Pascual Acosta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Admon in the 8th minute of play. Pascual Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Weather in the 10th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Desiderio Mero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de América's Pascual Acosta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Orlando Beltza hit a great ball. Gaston Eleder kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ruben Efraim made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Orlando Beltza sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the match, Roque Henrico notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Reyes F.C.'s Ruben Efraim. Ruben Efraim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Roque Henrico kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Efraim. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. In the 28th minute Orlando Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Efraim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Acosta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Mero's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes Estudiantes de América's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Domingo Weather who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Reyes F.C.'s Domingo Weather to fire away a dangerous shot which Pascual Acosta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Reyes F.C. were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Estudiantes de América's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingo Weather took the corner. The corner ended in Domingo Weather almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Estudiantes de América's Pascual Acosta did a great save. After having played for 44 minutes, Domingo Weather managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reyes F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Weather was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Estudiantes de América's Orlando Beltza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Domingo Weather made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Roque Henrico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ruben Efraim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pascual Acosta made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Silvano Admon sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute Orlando Beltza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Efraim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Desiderio Mero could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Pascual Acosta however easily saved by the left post. After 66 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Filiberto Ourente made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Efraim was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Roque Henrico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruben Efraim was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After 87 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Orlando Beltza made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Efraim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Nuñez hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ruben Efraim came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Roque Henrico. But to his dismay, Roque Henrico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estudiantes de América had won after a very even match.
