Gökçen Kulan started the match with the kick off. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Emrullah Toygun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Texier to maneuver through the defense. When Emrullah Toygun came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the GALATASARAY O.Z. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emrullah Toygun couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute Emrullah Toygun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alix Geoffray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emrullah Toygun in the 33rd minute of play. Yves Robinet's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY O.Z.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yves Robinet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rathmore Lime Tree getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Yves Robinet hit a great ball. Mustafa Birol Zekai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Robinet in the 47th minute of play. Mustafa Birol Zekai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yves Robinet's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yves Robinet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Birol Zekai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Robinet, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Rathmore Lime Tree got a corner. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Burhan Tezcan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Martial Hess, made in the 61st minute of the game. Alix Geoffray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emrullah Toygun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçen Kulan in the 75th minute of play forced Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Alix Geoffray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alix Geoffray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökçen Kulan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Cosson. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Gilbert Cosson got a free kick in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Emrullah Toygun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alix Geoffray was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ahmet Kemal took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alix Geoffray. Mustafa Birol Zekai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Robinet in the 96th minute. GALATASARAY O.Z. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
