Nicolao Sampil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson de Souza in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Zarando Redondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Gogo Lesardo got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Alfa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zarando Redondo came free, but Pedrinho de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zarando Redondo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Alfa FC's goalkeeper Pedrinho de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zarando Redondo. Zarando Redondo got in the 56th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pedrinho de Queirós handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Sílvio Luiz do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alfa FC's protests and gave Sílvio Luiz do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Pedrinho de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 95 minutes on the clock, Xusto Saavedra commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Club Getafe Deportivo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alfa FC:s goal. Nicolao Sampil had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Ferreirinha Vinhas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
