The audience was convinced that Rafa Alves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Ellande was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dionisio Dolfo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Academia Club booed when MUSHIBA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafa Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hernan Ellande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deivid Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dionisio Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Osvaldo Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Dionisio Dolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Dolfo in the 86th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dionisio Dolfo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldo Vergílio. That made the score 4-1 in the 88 minute of play.
