The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, F.C. København was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eckhardt Brøbech to maneuver through the defense. Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eckhardt Brøbech in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Augustin Staalfos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. København fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Putra Rewulu's goal looked a bit too open when Isa Brejnebøl came free, but Adrianus Tambunan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blas Cidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joni Rahardjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eckhardt Brøbech in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrianus Tambunan saved Putra Rewulu from getting behind. Adrianus Tambunan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Staalfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of F.C. København booed when Putra Rewulu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Goy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrianus Tambunan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isa Brejnebøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. F.C. København were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Putra Rewulu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augustin Staalfos took the corner. The corner ended in Terri Steenstrup almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Putra Rewulu's Adrianus Tambunan did a great save. Blas Cidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pär Goy in the 30th minute. F.C. København's Blas Cidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jandia Muda in the 43rd minute of play. F.C. København's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augustin Staalfos in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Staalfos made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Augustin Staalfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. København's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Staalfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eckhardt Brøbech got free with Adrianus Tambunan in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blas Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pär Goy in the 71st minute of play. Pär Goy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, F.C. København's Erhard Kirkhede got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Blas Cidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jandia Muda, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C. København eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
