Spectators: 7967 (Terracing: 5977, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bjorn Cuschieri took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Shawn Seracino Inglott sped through Lunar Park's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vachon Sánchez. In the 5th minute, Robin Lebleu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neil Fenech charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neil Fenech the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Neil Fenech. Bart Claveau might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clayton Gerada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bart Claveau ran back to his position shaking his head. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Claveau in the 8th minute of play. With a little luck, Lunar Park's Vachon Sánchez got control of the ball when Richard Pavia tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Seracino Inglott in the 15th minute of play forced Lunar Park's goalkeeper Vachon Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seraċini Għawdxin's Neil Fenech got his second yellow card of the match in the 24th minute. The referee ordered Neil Fenech off the ground. 27 minutes into the match, Lunar Park's goalkeeper Vachon Sánchez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Seracino Inglott. In the 30th minute of the match Richard Pavia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vachon Sánchez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bart Claveau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clayton Gerada having to make a save. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Claveau in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Claveau in the 36th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Clayton Gerada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bart Claveau was the one to do the kick off. Seraċini Għawdxin's attentive Bjorn Cuschieri managed to snatch the ball when Théophile Nouet made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Claveau, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Claveau got free with Clayton Gerada in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Claveau in the 77th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Clayton Gerada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bart Claveau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bart Claveau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clayton Gerada having to make a save. Bart Claveau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Clayton Gerada made a huge save. Vachon Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Velasco in the 95th minute of play. Seraċini Għawdxin were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
