The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6thth minute of the game Zuri Macías who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Hawk Football Club's Joaquim Trabell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Matute in the 8th minute of play forced Red Hawk Football Club's goalkeeper Joaquim Trabell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Garcia Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azul Y Plomo's protests and gave Garcia Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Azul Y Plomo's Garcia Sarmiento got a free kick in the 9th minute. The supporters of Red Hawk Football Club booed when Azul Y Plomo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenaido Obaldia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Zuri Macías shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Trabell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Red Hawk Football Club's Joaquim Trabell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Matute in the 24th minute of play. Zenaido Obaldia hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Azul Y Plomo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Luis-Javier Durango scored to the left of an out of position Rodrigo Ledrado, making the score, 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Azul Y Plomo's goal looked a bit too open when Luis-Javier Durango came free, but Rodrigo Ledrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Red Hawk Football Club's Peter Maroto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodrigo Ledrado. 40 minutes into the match, Red Hawk Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Matute came free, but Joaquim Trabell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Trabell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zuri Macías in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Luis-Javier Durango shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Ledrado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis-Javier Durango to strike the kick off in the second half. Zuri Macías recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. If Peter Maroto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Trabell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zuri Macías in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Maroto in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Ledrado saved Azul Y Plomo from getting behind. Red Hawk Football Club's Joaquim Trabell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Red Hawk Football Club from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, Azul Y Plomo's goal looked a bit too open when Luis-Javier Durango came free, but Rodrigo Ledrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
