Lucrețiu Brătescu made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Claudio Antonangeli sent off a good shot on target. Romed Scheider might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Colecchia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romed Scheider ran back to his position shaking his head. VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lucrețiu Brătescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Klawki in the 12th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Claudio Antonangeli made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lucrețiu Brătescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugenio Colecchia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boubacar Otabo went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Pluta. In the 24th match minute, Seggiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Passerini to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Antonangeli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucrețiu Brătescu having to make a save. Lucrețiu Brătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Antonangeli in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Antonangeli got free with Lucrețiu Brătescu in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucrețiu Brătescu made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Claudio Antonangeli sent off a good shot on target. Timo Geyer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Antonangeli in the 42nd minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Brătescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romed Scheider's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Colecchia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

VfL Bad Nenndorf made a substitution. Clemens Heineke replaced Bastian Jork. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Holthuis made a kick off. Seggiano's Claudio Antonangeli got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seggiano's Yuan Zhou Lei was substituted for Cesare Del Duca. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Roland Holthuis managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Bad Nenndorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Holthuis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Colecchia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucrețiu Brătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Antonangeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute of the match Seggiano got a corner. VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elia Cellucci ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lucrețiu Brătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Antonangeli in the 69th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Romed Scheider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Colecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, VfL Bad Nenndorf's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Antonangeli came free, but Lucrețiu Brătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Roland Holthuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Colecchia was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Lucrețiu Brătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Cellucci in the 89th minute of play. Seggiano's Claudio Antonangeli got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Elia Cellucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucrețiu Brătescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Antonangeli in the 96th minute of the match. Seggiano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
