If Codrin Izbașa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Viorel Plăcintă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when MZ Fénix's Silvério Vasconcelos in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Eustacio Sotero was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Eintracht Cernavoda through an amazing save. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Ricardo Ventura got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the MZ Fénix defense, Codrin Izbașa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Vilas Boas. The MZ Fénix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Vilas Boas should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the game, MZ Fénix's Américo Vasconcelos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustacio Sotero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Eintracht Cernavoda booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Câmara didn't get a good kick on the ball. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Pantiș in the 36th minute of play. Delfim Vilas Boas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Jder in the 40th minute of play. Silvério Vasconcelos struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Eustacio Sotero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MZ Fénix. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvério Vasconcelos to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Vasconcelos in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Sotero saved Eintracht Cernavoda from getting behind. Josué Câmara kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Ibrișin in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Eintracht Cernavoda getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Viorel Plăcintă hit a great ball. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save MZ Fénix from getting a goal against them. Silvério Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustacio Sotero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Vasconcelos came free, but Eustacio Sotero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Silvério Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Silvério Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Vasconcelos in the 79th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Silvério Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eintracht Cernavoda's Eustacio Sotero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Vilas Boas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Jder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Gigel Tănăsocă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delfim Vilas Boas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. MZ Fénix made a substitution. Filipe Mourato replaced Cássio Vilarinho. In the 89th minute, Lázaro Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Vilas Boas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihăiţă Jder in the 93rd minute of the match. Lázaro Oliveira took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustacio Sotero. Eustacio Sotero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.
