Spectators: 8406 (Terracing: 6305, Seating: 1933, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Arósio kicked off to start the match. If Chico Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Arantes came free, but Ronaldo Giovanelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Cefero got in the 12th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sílvio Hermes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Valadares in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Arlindo Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th match minute, LOBO 1908 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Nuno Tavares got a free kick in the 17th minute. Nuno Tavares hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Glauco Arantes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Sílvio Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Cefero, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Galo do Japi defense, Eduardo Arósio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Giovanelli. The Galo do Japi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Giovanelli should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Natanael Brasil in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo do Japi's Corryn Veloz. In the 36th minute, Arlindo Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Tavares made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Chico Valadares. Nuno Tavares hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Arósio in the 42nd minute of play. LOBO 1908's Sílvio Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Cefero in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chico Valadares was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match LOBO 1908 got a corner. Galo do Japi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glauco Arantes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Glauco Arantes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli did a great save. When Ranko Toko fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo do Japi's protests and gave Ranko Toko a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LOBO 1908 booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ranko Toko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Chico Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Aldair Santos. When LOBO 1908's Gláuber Arósio in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Galo do Japi's players were relieved. In the 75th minute, Gláuber Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo Giovanelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Gláuber Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ronaldo Giovanelli made a huge save. If Glauco Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when LOBO 1908 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's Aldair Santos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
