The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Hélio Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adrian Mutu came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Braga Junior FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Mutu couldn't finish the play. Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's Afonso Vilaverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Mutu in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute Enginalp Kayaalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's Andy Gimm got a free kick in the 14th minute. Afonso Vilaverde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Mutu went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the game, Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Vilaverde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Enginalp Kayaalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Vilaverde. Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enginalp Kayaalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 27th minute Andy Gimm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Carrada d´Ansiedade FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Vilaverde was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Enginalp Kayaalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Braga Junior FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Tomasz Waldoch kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Adrian Mutu might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Vilaverde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Mutu ran back to his position shaking his head. Afonso Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Virgílio Aires hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Moisés Antas made the kick off in the second half. Brickeen Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Antas in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Moisés Antas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrada d´Ansiedade FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. In the 68th minute, Adrian Mutu made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Vilaverde. Carrada d´Ansiedade FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Afonso Vilaverde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrian Mutu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 73 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Gimm in the 86th minute of play forced Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Brickeen Wall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 played minutes Carrada d´Ansiedade FC got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Rios. Adrian Mutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Braga Junior FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Braga Junior FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
