Ülo Võsandi came out and tried to block the shot, but Gigel Boeru slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 19th minute. Ülo Võsandi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Boeru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Boeru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ülo Võsandi having to interfere. Sdny Kryptonite's Ülo Võsandi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Boeru in the 31st minute of play. Gigel Boeru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ülo Võsandi made a huge save. Granicerul's Sydney Pombal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnold Uuesoo, made in the 34th minute of the game. In the 39thth minute of the game Gigel Boeru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sdny Kryptonite's Ülo Võsandi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Cornel Nastac hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ionel Dănciulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionel Dănciulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sdny Kryptonite booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Dănciulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
