Fabiano de Medeiros scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Jakub Kornecki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruninho Montenegro. The goal made the score 1-2. Bruninho Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Jakub Kornecki sent off a good shot on target. Bruninho Montenegro was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Torsten Åberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torsten Åberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Aquiles Leonidas scored 2-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jerry Hedman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Bruninho Montenegro made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Axel Wester took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruninho Montenegro. Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Torsten Åberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruninho Montenegro. Flamengo FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Åberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. 64 minutes into the match, Flamengo FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Asplund came free, but Bruninho Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Björkö BK's Torsten Åberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruninho Montenegro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Stig Björkdahl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Jeziorkowski in the 84th minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Bruninho Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Hedman in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Guedes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Flamengo FSCMZ booed when Björkö BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Flamengo FSCMZ defense, Anders Asplund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruninho Montenegro. The Flamengo FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruninho Montenegro should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Björkö BK had won after a very even match.
