Magne Wickander might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xamo Viladrosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 5th minute Ove Alströmmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xamo Viladrosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Iván Sotomayor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conny Mattsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iván Sotomayor's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Magnus Andreasson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Xamo Viladrosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Alströmmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Balkes FC's Conny Mattsson threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iván Sotomayor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Balkes FC's zone, Ove Alströmmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xamo Viladrosa came out of the goal and Ove Alströmmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th match minute, Myggenäs IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Andreasson to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Calle Lindström notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Myggenäs IFK's Conny Mattsson. Conny Mattsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute, Geraldo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ove Alströmmer made a kick off. After 62 played minutes Myggenäs IFK got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Mellin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthy Sommers during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stellan Nyman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xamo Viladrosa having to make a save. When Geraldo Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balkes FC's protests and gave Geraldo Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Balkes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Myggenäs IFK:s goal. With a little luck, Balkes FC's Xamo Viladrosa got control of the ball when Magne Wickander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xamo Viladrosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ove Alströmmer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 88 minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Balkes FC's Calle Lindström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conny Mattsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 96th minute Iván Sotomayor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Balkes FC fully deserved thier win.
