The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Garry Kasparov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Maci -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Kasparov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 6 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Garry Kasparov. Aírton Quirino hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Aírton Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aírton Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aírton Quirino kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, one of New Loser FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Loser FC. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, FC Maci -MM-'s Victor Cojocaru got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eliézer Sanches. Célio Queirós's late challenge caught a FC Maci -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Célio Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Célio Queirós hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goalkeeper Eliézer Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Cojocaru. FC Maci -MM-'s Robert Neaga got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Luís Guilherme Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horaţiu Proca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Horaţiu Proca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Neto in the 38th minute of the match. Radu Petrulean hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Garry Kasparov hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Guilherme Trancoso made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Radu Petrulean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Maci -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Loser FC the free kick. Radu Petrulean kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Guilherme Trancoso in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Horaţiu Proca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Maci -MM-'s Victor Cojocaru got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Horaţiu Proca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Horaţiu Proca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Queirós. 73 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Neaga came free, but Eliézer Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, New Loser FC's Luís Guilherme Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horaţiu Proca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When José Capablanca fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Maci -MM-'s protests and gave José Capablanca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Capablanca to maneuver through the defense. Horaţiu Proca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. New Loser FC's Eliézer Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Cojocaru in the 89th minute of play. FC Maci -MM-'s Robert Neaga got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. New Loser FC's Eliézer Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Neaga in the 95th minute of play. New Loser FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
