The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roque Clementi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rosini in the 3rd minute of play. Fabiano Barillari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Tipi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Rosini came free, but Roque Clementi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Montesacro FC's Flavio Di Maio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Flavio Di Maio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Montesacro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Flavio Di Maio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Flavio Di Maio hit a great ball. Juan Madera was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Fabiano Barillari had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Tipi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Scarcella in the 21st minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Roque Clementi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Rosini came free, but Roque Clementi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Barillari came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Alijilán returns's Ruben Tipi. But to his dismay, Ruben Tipi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ruben Tipi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Clementi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Scarcella in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saul Iruinea was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Leandro Garate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Barillari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anfilogino Imperiale fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montesacro FC's protests and gave Anfilogino Imperiale a yellow card for diving instead. Alijilán returns's Teofilo Semeno was substituted for Ruben Tipi. In the 58th minute, Anfilogino Imperiale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Juan Madera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Barillari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Montesacro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Garate was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some careless play in the Montesacro FC defense, Saul Iruinea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Barillari. The Montesacro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Barillari should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Jimeno Salvidor got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Corrado Cerrone hit a great ball. Frank Scarcella's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Roque Clementi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Frank Scarcella who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Roque Clementi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alijilán returns were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montesacro FC for a fine match.
