Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fermin Mingo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Tome prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blas Eusko hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Tomás Alfonso's late challenge caught a C. A. Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Alfonso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, 17 de enero team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Alfonso to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's Guillermo Nesto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Fermin Mingo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Tome was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, 17 de enero team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blas Eusko to maneuver through the defense. C. A. Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
