Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Erkan Fostiropoulos took the kick off in the first half of the match. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Ismael Haritzeder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Elmar Assing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Haritzeder was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 12th minute Björn Mokros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Haritzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Silverio Bertin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Haritzeder made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Erkan Fostiropoulos sent off a good shot on target. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Ismael Haritzeder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE from getting a goal against them. Higinio Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Isidoro Nesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe Ziege was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gunther Schößler hit a great ball. Ismael Haritzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Mokros in the 26th minute of the match. Ismael Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erkan Fostiropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Augusto Chaime was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. In the 29th minute, Augusto Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Erkan Fostiropoulos hit a great ball. A collision led to C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Moises Garci hit a great ball. Apolo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Higinio Pereyra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 41 minutes into the match, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Erkan Fostiropoulos came free, but Ismael Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Isidoro Nesto hit a great ball. A collision led to C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ismael Guillerme hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Pereyra to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Jo Felski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jo Felski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rot-Weiss-Essen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jo Felski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute of the match Silverio Bertin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uwe Ziege showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elmar Assing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Haritzeder having to interfere. Higinio Pereyra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Elmar Assing notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Ismael Haritzeder. Ismael Haritzeder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st match minute, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Nesto to maneuver through the defense. When Elmar Assing came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rot-Weiss-Essen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elmar Assing couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Elmar Assing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Haritzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvio Mincho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uwe Ziege. That made the score 3-3 in the 82 minute of play. Elmar Assing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Haritzeder having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match Helmut Malinowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Haritzeder skillfully saved the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
