The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, 1948 MKS's Patty McGlynn made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnau Cifuentes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Patty McGlynn in the 7th minute of play forced Fillos de Breogán's goalkeeper Arnau Cifuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnau Cifuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donleavy Barrett in the 8th minute of play. Arnau Cifuentes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patty McGlynn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Fillos de Breogán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archibaldo Esteban to maneuver through the defense. Arnau Cifuentes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patty McGlynn in the 14th minute of the match. Arnau Cifuentes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donleavy Barrett showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 20th minute, 1948 MKS's Donleavy Barrett ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnau Cifuentes. Arnau Cifuentes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 23rd minute, Gilbert Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donleavy Barrett to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patty McGlynn got free with Arnau Cifuentes in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Donleavy Barrett took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Arnau Cifuentes to make any attempt to save it. Fillos de Breogán's Arnau Cifuentes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Fillos de Breogán from getting a goal against them. Arnau Cifuentes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patty McGlynn in the 34th minute. Hickey Dunne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jusepe Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Fillos de Breogán's Arnau Cifuentes got control of the ball when Patty McGlynn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patty McGlynn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnau Cifuentes firmly grabbed it by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yvon Candamil to make the kick off. If Patty McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnau Cifuentes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Jameson in the 58th minute of the match. Arnau Cifuentes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auley Ryan in the 61st minute of play forced Fillos de Breogán's goalkeeper Arnau Cifuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fillos de Breogán booed when 1948 MKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patty McGlynn didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Fillos de Breogán's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Jameson came free, but Arnau Cifuentes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Patty McGlynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnau Cifuentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnau Cifuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patty McGlynn in the 77th minute of play. Arnau Cifuentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donleavy Barrett in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match 1948 MKS got a corner. Fillos de Breogán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Doherty ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Doherty made a great header on 1948 MKS's corner, it was just that Fillos de Breogán's Arnau Cifuentes managed to reach the ball for a save. Hickey Dunne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yvon Candamil in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binnech Beckett to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the 1948 MKS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
