With his leg Gustavo Unai managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when S.P.Q.R.'s Kuddusî Yazargil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gustavo Unai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuddusî Yazargil's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. A collision led to BURITIS FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Adrianinho Arósio hit a great ball. After 15 minutes of play, BURITIS FC's Rubens Reis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Özen Akburç was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kuddusî Yazargil struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Gustavo Unai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.P.Q.R.. S.P.Q.R.'s Batur Turbay got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Rubens Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özen Akburç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrianinho Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Adrianinho Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the game Tony Araújo made a throw-in which Ernani Paraense played forward. Kuddusî Yazargil in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Unai, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gustavo Unai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Talat Yenay in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuddusî Yazargil in the 40th minute of play forced BURITIS FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Unai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubens Reis was the one to do the kick off. When Ernani Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the BURITIS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Paraense couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes BURITIS FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Arósio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuddusî Yazargil in the 62nd minute of play forced BURITIS FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Unai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Talat Yenay had to leave the field with a concussion. Adrianinho Arósio was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Joel Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rubens Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özen Akburç having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in S.P.Q.R.'s zone, Vito da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Özen Akburç came out of the goal and Vito da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özen Akburç having to interfere. Vito da Mata missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 78 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Özen Akburç right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Yiğit Can Türegün managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.P.Q.R.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Yiğit Can Türegün was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Unai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kuddusî Yazargil in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved BURITIS FC from getting behind. The BURITIS FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
