Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vivaldo Loureiro kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los romperredes F.C's zone, Eurico Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lia Saez came out of the goal and Eurico Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vivaldo Loureiro scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lia Saez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquez Feal in the 21st minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Los romperredes F.C's Pepe Veloso got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Vivaldo Loureiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, SeleSantos FC's Roberto Oliveira got control of the ball when Idacio Helguera tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Cássio do Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lia Saez. Los romperredes F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio do Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Idacio Helguera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los romperredes F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SeleSantos FC the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Los romperredes F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idacio Helguera to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Roberto Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doroteo Sacristán, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lia Saez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Pepe Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by SeleSantos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Quintin Manrique was slow to take the kick. During this time Los romperredes F.C's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Los romperredes F.C's Quintin Manrique to fire away a dangerous shot which Roberto Oliveira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Los romperredes F.C's Mundo Marcilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Los romperredes F.C from getting a goal against them. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio do Vale in the 79th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Los romperredes F.C's Marquez Feal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 91 minutes into the match, Los romperredes F.C's Doroteo Sacristán sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Oliveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Idacio Helguera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Roberto Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casildo Galdamez hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The SeleSantos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SeleSantos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
