TS Wisła Kraków's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valeriu Aanuţei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. George Obregia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Zbyszek Golec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tolek Nakoneczny fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TS Wisła Kraków's protests and gave Tolek Nakoneczny a yellow card for diving instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. TS Wisła Kraków were victorious despite being under pressure from LIVIUS UNITED MLS for much of the match.
