The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Mangion got free with Florin Enoaia in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Mihail Bologa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florin Enoaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Mangion in the 18th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Martin Mangion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florin Enoaia was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Ionel Jupân got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sliema Dragons FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd minute, Isaac Grimaud fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florin Enoaia, passed just outside the right post. In the 34th match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Talbot to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Viola Invest's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mangion came free, but Florin Enoaia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, George Teodoreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ionel Jupân made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Talbot to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th match minute, Viola Invest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bilașco to maneuver through the defense. George Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Martin Mangion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Mangion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Christopher Talbot fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sliema Dragons FC's protests and gave Christopher Talbot a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Talbot. George Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Martin Mangion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Enoaia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Martin Mangion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viola Invest's Florin Enoaia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sliema Dragons FC's Martin Mangion in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viola Invest's goalie prevented a goal. Florin Enoaia came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Sliema Dragons FC's Jean Carl Mamo. But to his dismay, Jean Carl Mamo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Teodoreanu during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sliema Dragons FC's Jean Carl Mamo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Viola Invest getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mihail Bologa hit a great ball. Martin Mangion scored 9-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Enoaia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sliema Dragons FC had played much better football throughout.
