In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Innes McWalter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gavião Kyikatejê defense, Galo Campos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Innes McWalter. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Innes McWalter should have stopped the shot. In the 9th match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd McCodrum to maneuver through the defense. Innes McWalter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Ledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Maurin Canturri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Innes McWalter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Marquez Canal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 24 minutes of play, Sporting Burgas's Marquez Canal made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Innes McWalter was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Telo Nunez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Burgas's supporters rose to their feet, but Telo Nunez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innes McWalter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phil McKirdy hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Maurin Canturri scored 0-6 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Innes McWalter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Nunez in the 31st minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Innes McWalter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gavião Kyikatejê getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lloyd McCodrum hit a great ball. After 33 minutes of play, Sporting Burgas's Maurin Canturri made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Innes McWalter was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Telo Nunez fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Burgas's protests and gave Telo Nunez a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Telo Nunez. Innes McWalter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galo Campos in the 38th minute of the match. Lloyd McCodrum kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Innes McWalter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquez Canal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marquez Canal during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Galo Campos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Innes McWalter was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Innes McWalter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telo Nunez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Telo Nunez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innes McWalter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.
Maurin Canturri took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Innes McWalter. Innes McWalter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Innes McWalter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marquez Canal in the 55th minute. When Roldán Delgado, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 57 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Innes McWalter was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 60th minute Neil McKinnon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Marquez Canal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Blair Armstrong fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gavião Kyikatejê's protests and gave Blair Armstrong a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Armstrong to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquez Canal got free with Innes McWalter in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Sporting Burgas booed when Gavião Kyikatejê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lloyd McCodrum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Innes McWalter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marquez Canal went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. When Gavião Kyikatejê's Neil McKinnon in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Burgas's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Neil McKinnon put it in 1-10 from a short distance just to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán. Innes McWalter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telo Nunez, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gavião Kyikatejê's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Telo Nunez scored to the left of an out of position Innes McWalter, making the score, 1-11. Leobardo Briso kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Marquez Canal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Innes McWalter came out and tried to block the shot, but Marquez Canal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-12 in the 85th minute. Innes McWalter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquez Canal in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Gavião Kyikatejê's Innes McWalter got control of the ball when Marquez Canal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Gavião Kyikatejê fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Burgas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
