Spectators: 7458 (Terracing: 5594, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 149) Cayetano Gaspard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Guto Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karavela's Denílson Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Berart in the 9th minute of play. Gláuber da Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Nestor Ongile made a huge save. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Black Sails booed when Karavela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Black Sails's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Quirino came free, but Nestor Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Rosado in the 26th minute of play. Denílson Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Hori in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Black Sails got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Hori. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Berart in the 32nd minute of play forced Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicanor Hori scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Heriberto in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denílson Catarinense saved Karavela from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Cristo Berart made a precise shot to the right of Denílson Catarinense. Karavela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Hori in the 41st minute of play forced Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denílson Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Gaspard in the 46th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Karavela got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Quirino. After the first half Black Sails were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Guto Rosado made the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Millan hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nestor Ongile came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Karavela's Sílvio Luís Barral. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Melo during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 59 minutes into the game, one of Karavela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cayetano Gaspard shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Nicanor Hori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Catarinense having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Black Sails's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Quirino came free, but Nestor Ongile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Dino Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Sails's Nestor Ongile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Domingues in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Norberto Heriberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Sails's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karavela the free kick. 77 minutes into the game, Black Sails's Nicanor Hori nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denílson Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Nestor Ongile made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Saldanha in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Karavela's Gláuber da Silveira got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Black Sails's Cayetano Gaspard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denílson Catarinense. Denílson Catarinense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Black Sails's zone, Ruy Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Ongile came out of the goal and Ruy Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Millan's late challenge caught a Karavela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Millan helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo Millan kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Berart got free with Denílson Catarinense in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Black Sails's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
