The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. PLASNIKE's Anibal Hegoi got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Favila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Anibal Hegoi came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the PLASNIKE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Hegoi couldn't finish the play. Aureliano Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Favila in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Joaquin Phelipe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Hats was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Florencio Telesforo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cristian Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Dionisio Dolfo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of PLASNIKE's Cristian Hats. Cristian Hats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Fausto Franco got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, PLASNIKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Hegoi to maneuver through the defense. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Hegoi in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Academia Club booed when PLASNIKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Florencio Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Favila came free, but Aureliano Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Favila in the 42nd minute of play forced Academia Club's goalkeeper Aureliano Pacifico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute PLASNIKE were awarded a corner. Aldo Favila went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Aldo Favila almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico did a great save. 45 minutes into the match, PLASNIKE's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Dolfo came free, but Cristian Hats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Academia Club were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Hegoi to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes PLASNIKE got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Hegoi. Dionisio Dolfo scored 1-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Hats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Pacifico having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Aldo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. PLASNIKE's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Pacifico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 played minutes, PLASNIKE's Victorino Balendin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aureliano Pacifico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PLASNIKE reached it. Cristian Hats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Dionisio Dolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Hats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, PLASNIKE's Anibal Hegoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureliano Pacifico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 71 minutes into the game, Aldo Favila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Aureliano Pacifico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anibal Hegoi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Aldo Romero struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Aureliano Pacifico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PLASNIKE. Aldo Favila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aureliano Pacifico having to make a save. If Aldo Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aldo Favila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Aureliano Pacifico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Aldo Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Pacifico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aldo Favila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
