Inter de Melão's Davi Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Melão from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Oakcroft Thrashers booed when Inter de Melão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Farias might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mårten Nordström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Farias ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 played minutes Inter de Melão got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Zachrisson. Mårten Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Domingues in the 40th minute of the match. Nils-Emil Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Hasselqvist in the 67th minute of play forced Inter de Melão's goalkeeper Davi Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesper Pettersson kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Inter de Melão's Pedro Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesper Pettersson in the 85th minute of play forced Inter de Melão's goalkeeper Davi Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Inter de Melão defense, Henrik Hasselqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davi Valadares. The Inter de Melão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davi Valadares should have stopped the shot. Davi Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Billing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Stig Bengtsson fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oakcroft Thrashers's protests and gave Stig Bengtsson a yellow card for diving instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
